Named after John C. McCoy, the founder of Westport, McCoy’s Public House recreates an atmosphere drawn from traditions of old. The term “public house” refers to a local establishment serving food & ale. Public houses quickly became the focal point of any village or community in British & Irish culture.
Our award-winning mac & cheese has been a signature dish with over 135,000 sold since 1997. We’re also proud of our locally-ground half-pound burgers cooked over a hickory fire. For over 15 years, our brewmaster, Keith Thompson, has produced Kansas City’s best hand-crafted ales & lagers, many of which are nationally-recognized award winners. In addition to our flagship varieties, we brew an ever-changing list of rotating seasonal beers.
